Besides God, the other main character in this narrative is Noah. Noah does not have a single line in this drama, but his actions speak louder than words: he “walked with God” (6:9); “he did all that God commanded him” (6:22; 7:5, 9, 16); he “built an altar to the LORD” and offered burnt offerings to the LORD (8:20).
